At last, a comfortable respite from thin sounding earbuds and uncomfortable behind-the-neck earphones! The Motorola S805 Bluetooth DJ Headphones are a great balance of wireless freedom and captivating sound.
The package I received from Motorola came complete with an iPod Nano and wireless adapter. The appearance of these headphones is quite attractive, with black plastic construction and leather wrapped pads. Many who are used to earbuds or small headsets may be a little intimidated by the apparent bulkiness of over ear headphones, but for great sound quality, there has to be good sound isolation. This is why DJs, recording studios and radio stations use large headphones instead of earbuds. Though they are marketed as DJ Headphones, it's unlikely that professional DJs would use these particular units. Rather, the term in my opinion, describes the functionality of the swiveling earpieces and over-ear design. This seems like a way to connect the product with consumers that enjoy the cool factor of being connected with the DJ culture.
Features
The Motorola S805 Bluetooth DJ Headphones have many of the same benefits and features of any wireless headset, including built-in microphone, volume controls, selection control wheels and music pause for phone calls. Other features include soft, padded earpieces with leather covering. These earpieces also swivel, giving the headphones a flat profile for transport and storage. An adapter cable allows for wired use for stereos and other applications. Soft, black mesh lines the insides of the earpieces as well as the top of the set for added comfort when in use for extended periods.
