TeleNav Bluetooth GPS Navigator

TeleNav Bluetooth GPS Navigator Whether you have a Palm, BlackBerry or another type of smartphone with Bluetooth capabilities and a data plan, the TeleNav GPS Navigator could be a cost-effective solution to help you find your destination while on-the-go.

The TeleNav Bluetooth GPS Navigator is a small device that you can put pretty much anywhere in your car. It receives GPS data from the 29 current satellites in the Global Positioning System and sends the signal to your smartphone using Bluetooth wireless technology. Thus, with the TeleNav GPS Navigator accessory, your smartphone becomes a GPS device.

Completing the system is TeleNav's software, which you can download onto your phone through your service provider's data network. With the software, you'll have access to more than 10 million points of interest, including restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, stores, ATMs and gas stations, which are kept up-to-date by the TeleNav team.

Regardless of where you are, so long as TeleNav's GPS Navigator has a clear line of sight to the satellites above and your smartphone has service, the turn-by-turn directions will get you to where you need to go. When you connect wired earphones to your smartphone, you can hear a computerized voice tell you when your next turn is coming up. The software will also find the closest and cheapest gas pumps to your current location.

For the listed price of $99.99, the TeleNav GPS Navigator is at least $100 less expensive than the typical GPS road navigation device. And while most GPS devices come loaded with maps that can only be updated manually at a cost, TeleNav updates its maps and business listings automatically over the data network for a monthly fee of about $10.
