Logitech Wireless DJ Music System (Installation & Conclusion)

Installation and Use

Bluetooth USB Transmitter Installation of the Logitech Wireless DJ Music System is simple with the provided cables and software. The computer software loads easily and is simple to follow. The USB Music Transmitter plugs into an open port and is small enough to tuck away unseen. The dock/receiver/charger plugs into the wall with a standard AC adapter and into the stereo with RCA cables. During our tests, pairing between the remote and transmitter happened Bluetooth Transceiver/Remote Cradlein seconds (Note: the remote must be charged before use). The systems range passed a distance test of 100 feet with flying colors.

Note: We haven’t completed testing the range of the Wireless DJ Music System. Please revisit this review in the feature for possible updates.

Conclusion

The Wireless DJ Music System functions well straight from the box. Sound quality is top notch and ease of use makes this an attractive audio solution. Priced at approximately $250, this system is affordable for those that value versatility and functionality along with high quality audio.

The StreamPoint software is simple to install, though it does take quite a bit of computer resources. Again, make sure to have the recommended system requirements to avoid potential problems.

Hardware installation is simple and the user-friendly interface with the remote and software makes it easy to browse and play all forms of digital audio. A very small learning curve is required to start enjoying the benefits of this product.

The centerpiece of this system is of course the remote, which is more like an MP3 player that uses your stereo. The innovative design and ultra-modern style make this an impressive part of your audio experience. During our tests, every single person that saw the remote made comments like "That's the coolest remote I have ever seen!"

An astonishing disadvantage we found with this system was the non-compatibility with Mac computers. That being said, we're PC users so it didn't affect us so much, but with no mention of Macs in the users manual and the system requirements stating use of Windows OS, we think Apple users may be out of luck until Logitech comes up with an appropriate software upgrade.

Pros:

  • Ultra-modern looks
  • Easy set up
  • User friendly
  • Great sound quality
  • Good range
  • Cons:

    • No search function
    • No loop scrolling
    • Seemingly incompatible with Mac computers
    • Slight interference when multiple Wi-Fi devices are active

Ultra-modern Wireless DJ Music System

Overall, we highly recommend this product as it is easy to use and looks great. Its functionality enhances the enjoyment of the digital audio format and allows a versatility that we feel has previously been overlooked. The convenience of full stereo system sound, digital clarity and placement in the home make the Logitech Wireless DJ Music System a must have for any music lover.
