| The new Microsoft
Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth is an updated
version of the original Intellimouse Explorer for
Bluetooth. There are two primary
differences between these two products. The
first upgrade of the mouse is the new Tilt-Wheel
technology which allows you to scroll web pages
from side to side as well as up and down.
This makes browsing through many web pages faster
and much easier. The other upgrade is the
new Bluetooth receiver (AKA Bluetooth Adapter) that comes with the mouse.
This Bluetooth receiver is 3x smaller than the
original and plugs right into any available USB
port. Microsoft redesigned the shaped
of the mouse for better ergonomics, which make
this mouse much more comfortable to use. The Microsoft Intellimouse
Explorer for Bluetooth is priced very reasonable.
If you take into account that a Bluetooth
receiver, by its lonesome, will usually cost
around $50. Add in a Bluetooth mouse and
you are well over $100. With this mouse, you
are paying around $70 dollars for both!
Like many other mice today,
the Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth is only
designed for right handed people and there are no
plans for a left handed version.
Setup is just as easy for
this mouse too. Just plug the Bluetooth
receiver into a USB slot and it will
automatically install the needed software.
You can also use the receiver to connect any
other Bluetooth-enabled devices. You
don’t even have to install the software to
use this mouse but it is recommended you do so.
You lose some features without it. You
won’t be able to use the Tilt-Wheel
scrolling feature or monitors the mouse’s
battery life.
Recommendation:
With more features than most mice, this mouse is
a Good Buy!
