Logitech, the industry leader in computer peripherals, offers a diverse selection of desktop keyboard and mouse combinations. As with most keyboard and mouse combinations these days, Logitech's selection is increasingly becoming wireless.
Most of the wireless desktop combinations on the market today use Radio Frequency (RF) wireless technology, however Bluetooth technology is quickly beginning to replace RF as the more advanced alternative. Bluetooth offers better range, improved response time, lower power consumption, and several other advantages over RF.
Currently, Logitech offers two Bluetooth desktop combinations: The Logitech Cordless Desktop® MX™ 5000 Laser and the diNovo™ Media Desktop™ Laser. In this review, we will take a detailed look at the Cordless Desktop MX 5000 Laser, which we had the opportunity to thoroughly test.
The Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5000 Laser truly is a revolutionary Bluetooth desktop combination. It is the perfect compliment to your modern PC. Unlike most keyboards, which can only send information to your PC, the MX 5000 Cordless Keyboard also has the ability to receive and display information sent from your PC. The stylish keyboard offers an LCD panel, capable of displaying the time and date, room temperature, song titles for music files, and various other displays.
The MX 1000 Laser Cordless Mouse is ergonomically designed in order to provide supreme comfort, and it offers 20x greater resolution than a mouse that uses LED illumination.
