Battery Life and Charging
Like most new battery operated electronic devices, the first thing you must do is charge the product. With the Y-Splitter Power Cable, you can charge both the i-PHONO PLUS Headphone and the Bluetooth Stereo Dongle at the same time from the same charge. This is a very convenient feature especially if you lack open electrical outlets.
The battery life of i-PHONO Plus is very good. We were able to listen to music for around 6.5 hours out of the 7 hours suggested on the box. A reason for the shortened battery life could be the loud volume we listen to our music at.
Pairing
Pairing the i-PHONO PLUS with the Bluetooth Stereo Dongle is rather simple. However, without reading the manual, you might not know how to put the headphones into pairing mode. To avoid these unneeded headaches and confusion, we suggest reading the manual first to familiarize yourself with the product.
Starting the pairing process involves holding down the multi-functional button for two seconds until the status indicator flashes blue and red alternately. Once pairing is complete, the status indicator will flash blue regularly. That's it, you are now ready to wirelessly stream music from the dongle to the i-PHONO PLUS.
Style and Comfort
Compared to the i-PHONO mini, the i-PHONO PLUS does have a more sporty style. Although they do provide bigger speakers (A plus!), the ear pieces are somewhat bulky and may look a little awkward on some people. When we unfolded the headphones, we felt like the behind-the-neck band was very flimsy, almost like it could break very easily if handled the wrong way. When folding them back up, we were actually worried about breaking the neck band.
The good news is, the headphones did not break. As it turns out, the overall design is more sturdy and durable than it appears. However, we still believe Bluetake should try to improve upon the design before deciding to release another version of the i-PHONO Stereo Headphone. On the upside, we do like that fact that the headphones fold down for easier transport and storage.
 i-PHONO Plus Folded
When we first put the i-PHONO PLUS Stereo Headphones on my head, I tried wearing them like normal over-the-head headphones, but they don't work this way. You have to have the neck band behind your neck. The headphones also offer some rubber supports to hold them in place on your ears.
The headphones are a little bit on the heavy side as well. At first, the headphones seemed to be very comfortable. After using the headphones for about an hour, my ears and neck started to bother me. This could be because of the weight issue and also that the plastic neck band pretty much rests on your neck all the time (go figure).
Also, if you have a large head, these headphones may not fit you. One of my coworkers tried to put them on but they were too small (he does have a huge head). If he tried any harder, the neck band would have snapped. An adjustable neck band would improve this problem.
Overall, I like the style of the headset but the comfort level is something to be worked on. However, some people actually find the i-PHONO PLUS Bluetooth Stereo Headphone to be very comfortable. The only true way to tell is to test them out for yourself.
