nXZEN (Performance and Conclusion)

Performance

nXZEN Headset on EarIts performance is what makes the nXZEN Bluetooth Headset stand out from its competition. The nXZEN claims to have the most advanced noise cancellation technology of any Bluetooth headset. From my experience, this statement might just be true.

While using the Motorola HS-820 Bluetooth Headset, the one complaint I had was that the users on the other end of the conversation would tell me that they could hear everything that was going on around me. In noisy environments, it was very difficult to hold a conversation. This was not the case with the nXZEN Headset. It did a great job of eliminating most background noises. For review purposes, I called many people using the nXZEN Headset. At the end of every conversation I would ask them if they could tell that I was using a headset. In every case nobody could.

Driving 65 mph on the highway with the driver side window down, I was also able to hold a conversation over the nXZEN Headset without any complaints from the end user. They claimed to hear some background noise but nothing like hurricane force winds.

I also tested the headset with the music in my car blasting as I left a message on my voicemail. When I checked the voicemail, I could clearly understand the message I left. However, when in noisy environments, it was sometimes difficult to hear the other person.

Battery Life

The nXZEN Headset offers 100 hours of standby time and 7 hours of talk time, so you don’t have to worry about charging the headset everyday. Although I didn’t test the full battery life, the nXZEN Headset was still going strong after 72 hours of standby time and about 1 hour of talk time.

Conclusion

I am very pleased with all aspects of the nXZEN Plus Bluetooth Headset. The one feature that stands out the most, and which sets this Bluetooth headset apart from the rest, is its ability to eliminate background noise.

If you would like the convenience and safety of hands free communication and the ability to carry on conversations in noisy environments, the nXZEN Headset is the perfect headset for you.

The nXZEN Plus Bluetooth headset retails for around $150. Compared to other Bluetooth headsets the nXZEN Plus may seem a little bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.
