Both devices of the Bluetooth Entertainment Pack offer excellent battery life. We started using the product at 10:00 am and it lasted until 4:15 pm (5.25 hours). Charging is also very simple. Just connect the BTH-820 and BTA-830 to the included adapter and once the red indicator light turns off, you will know both devices are fully charged. We happened to forget the charger one day, but were able to charge both devices using a USB 2.0 plug (comes with most iPods) by connecting it to a laptop.

The wireless range of the Bluetooth Entertainment Pack, or lack thereof, is the one fault we definitely experienced. When walking around our home, we lost the signal frequently and the music would suddenly stop. Usually, we could make it around 25 ft. before the signal would cut out, however there were sometimes when we would make it further then the last time. As a result, we couldn’t determine the device’s exact wireless range. In any event, the product is very good if you can stay in range.

When we first received the Bluetooth Entertainment Pack, we noticed the wired headphones that it came with. Naturally, our first question was: How can I make my iPod wireless if I still have to walk around with a wired headset? We would like to see the BTH-820 Stereo Headset built directly into a pair of headphones which would make the product more comfortable and attractive.

The bonus of the stereo headset is that you will know when you get a phone call even when listening to your music. Most likely you’d normally miss these calls when listening to your iPod or MP3 player.

We paired the BTH-820 with a Motorola E815 cell phone. When a call came in, the music automatically stopped and we were able to answer the call from the BTH-820. Once the conversation ended, the music automatically began playing again.

While using the BTH-820 for phone calls, we found that the caller on the other end could understand us perfectly, however there was some occasional static and break ups on both ends. We would not recommend having long phone conversations using the BTH-820.

Pairing the BTH-820 with the BTA-830 is extremely simple. Within a couple seconds after charging the Bluetooth Entertainment pack, we were able to get them to pair together.

Other than the basic functions, there really aren’t that many features involved with the Bluetooth Entertainment pack. You can control the volume from the stereo headset and change audio tracks (if the Bluetooth device supports the appropriate profiles) on your MP3 Player.

A feature we would like to see with the next version of the Bluetooth Entertainment pack is an LCD screen which shows track titles and possibly Caller ID information for incoming calls.

Overall, we found Globalsat’s Bluetooth entertainment pack very easy to use. Just turn on both the BTH-820 and BTA-830, plug the transmitter into any 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack, make sure both parts are paired together and you are ready to wirelessly transfer stereo music and audio.

The BTH-820 Stereo Headset is surprisingly very small, even smaller than the iPod nano. You can clip it onto a pocket, shirt collar, or even hang it freely around your neck just like a pendant.

GlobalSat's Bluetooth Entertainment pack is a convenient product that offers excellent sound quality, however there is some room for improvement. The device's lightweight and small design makes it extremely easy for the user to move around freely. Furthermore, the excellent battery life and easy setup also make this product very appealing.

If you want to listen to your music without being physically wired to your iPod or audio device, but rather to a smaller device, then the Bluetooth Entertainment Pack is a product that you should consider purchasing.
