Bluetooth Motorcycle Helmets

Bluetooth technology has found another way to make our roads a little safer. Motorcycle manufacturers are introducing Motorcycle helmets incorporated with Bluetooth technology.

The sole idea of a motorcyclist picking up their cell phone and trying to talk while driving is a little scary to think about, not to mention incredibly idiotic. At least now, communicating on a motorcycle will be a bit safer. The rider will be able to keep both of their hands on the handle bars while answering or making phone calls. One of the nicest aspects of a Bluetooth handsfree communication system is the fact that there aren’t any wires involved. The last thing a biker needs to worry about, is getting tangled up in wires.

Momo Fighter Bluetooth Motorcycle HelmetMotorola and Italian Design Firm, Momodesign, teamed up to create an innovative Bluetooth Motorcycle helmet, the Momo Fighter BT Helmet. The Fighter BT Helmet, allows you to make and take calls with easy to use functions. You can answer, end, redial, voice dial, and control the volume all from the cover of the helmet. Even when you get off the bike, the conversation doesn't have to end, because you can simply remove the headset from the helmet, attach it to the neck loop, and continue your conversation.

BMW bluetooth helmetBMW has created a Bluetooth motorcycle helmet called the System V. It consists of virtually invisible microphones in the forehead area, a digital signal processor (DSP) to filter interference and wind noise, and two speakers.

Cardo Systems created the Scala Ryder that will turn just about any helmet into a Bluetooth enabled handsfree communication system. The Scala Ryder comes with a weather-protected headset that fits any motorcycle helmet. You will be able to accept or reject calls by voice control via VOX technology. This option is much cheaper than buying a brand new Bluetooth Motorcycle helmet.

Although we have only listed a few manufacturers, there are more manufacturers who have developed, or are in the process of creating, Bluetooth Motorcycle helmets.
