Experience

When first opening the package to reveal the tiny technological wonders, I was pretty excited to experience how well the set worked together.BTA-809 and iPod As with all Bluetooth equipped devices, one of the first orders of business is to pair the two units together. As you already may know, pairing is a process that tells each device what other device you want it to communicate with. You are able to pair up to seven devices, so pairing the BTA-809 and my Bluetooth wireless phone with the BTH-820 still left five other devices that I could have paired with. Now, the challenge with the BTH-820 was simply this: Nowhere on the unit or anywhere within the provided documentation does it indicate where the appropriate button is located. This was frustrating but only for about ten minutes until I realized which button to press and hold. When facing the unit it is the blue button (how appropriate) on the top left side of the BTH-820.

If You Value Audio Quality

An important fact about me that wasn't mentioned in the introduction is that I am a studio owner and audio engineer. With as many recordings as I have mixed, I am sure you can imagine that I have developed some pretty strong audio preferences. Sound quality is a must. With most wireless audio devices I have encountered in the past there has always been an element of disappointment. As I mentioned above, FM devices are only giving you half of the sound quality you paid for with your favorite CD. This is largely unacceptable. If you, like me, care about the quality of sound you allow into your ears, you may be just as surprised as I was when I heard the GlobalSat BTH-820 and the BTA-809 for the first time. Not only are these devices incredibly convenient and easy to use, but the sound quality is also remarkable! For the first time in my life I was listening to crystal clear music streaming wirelessly through what seems to be a huge selling point for Bluetooth wireless technology and incredibly easy to use GlobalSat implementation. I am pleased.

Conclusion

I feel strongly that once you experience the GlobalSat BTA-809 and BTH-820 for yourself, and hear how great it sounds, you will recognize the value and freedom that Bluetooth technology provides. I look forward to the introduction of new Bluetooth products from GlobalSat and others and will keep an eye on what BlueTomorrow.com has to say about them.

The BTH-820 Stereo Headset supports phone calls with any phone that uses the
Headset Profile (HSP) or the Hands-Free Profile (HFP). Since most
Bluetooth-enabled phones use at least one of these profiles, your phone should
be able to support phone calls with the BTH-820. Hope this helps!
