Range
We tested the range in both office and home environments; closing doors and hiding behind walls at different ranges.
It performed as advertised giving us up to 30 feet of range even with a barrier in between us and our audio source. Taking it to the limit at 30 feet and shutting myself into a bathroom did cause signal to drop intermittently, but opening the door cleared that up even if my roommate did not approve.
Battery Life and Charging
Once again the BT-03A wireless headset performed as stated on the box. We charged both the 3.5mm dongle and headset for 2 hours and they lasted for 6 hours and 53 minutes before the headset finally ran out of juice. We charged it for another hour and it lasted for another 4 hours and 30 minutes before needing to be refreshed. My main gripe was with the headset not working while they were being charged. As soon as you plug the charger into the headset it automatically shuts down, same with the 3.5mm dongle.
Conclusion
The bottom line is that we were very pleased with the performance and ease of use with the BT-03A wireless headset. The construction of the device was decent and although we would not advise taking this headset to the gym on a regular basis, it is definitely a good solution for casual day to day use with a home computer or iPod.
