Style and Design
The design of the Logitech diNovo Edge Keyboard is sleek and impressive. It is laser cut from a single sheet of high-gloss black plexiglas acrylic, is ridiculously thin, measuring just 13m (.51 inches from the top of its housing to the desk). It has a built in mouse, called the TouchDisc, which allows users to perform on-screen navigation and scrolling.
Made of Plexiglas, the diNovo Edge looks especially sleek, however it certainly picks up smudges. Even the slightest touch will leave the diNovo Edge full of fingerprints. In order to combat this problem Logitech includes a cloth, which is intended especially for cleaning the keyboard’s shiny surface.
FEATURES
Bluetooth Technology
With Bluetooth technology, the diNovo Edge keyboard functions from a range of up to 30 feet. The best use of the long range is when you want to control multimedia functions like volume control, changing tracks, etc.
The included USB adapter is pre-paired with the keyboard during manufacturing and needs no additional configuring.
The Bluetooth feature will work with or without a Bluetooth stack as the keyboard is fully featured without Bluetooth software installed. It includes both the Microsoft Bluetooth stack (Windows XP with service pack 2) and the Broadcom Bluetooth stack (including Widcomm 4.0 and higher)
PerfectStroke Key Mechanism
Logitech introduces the PerfectStroke Key Mechanism on the diNovo Edge. "PerfectStroke is a precision micro-scisccor mechanism that distributes forces evenly across key surfaces." It allows this sleekly designed keyboard optimum function and comfort for the user.
TouchDisc Scrolling
The TouchDisc scrolling control allows you the same functionality of a mouse without having to use a separate device. The TouchDisc allows you to vertically and horizontally scroll through web pages, documents, and spreadsheets. When using the TouchDisc control the light colored ring that surrounds the surface will glow orange.
However, the TouchDisc control does take quite some time to get comfortable using. After a few weeks of use, I am finally starting to get a hang of it. I would still recommend using a standard Bluetooth mouse.
Touch-Sensitive Volume Slider
You can control your multi-media volume from the diNovo Edge by sliding your finger up or down to adjust volume. The orange LEDs will glow and then fade away. The slightest touch activates the volume control.
Li-ion Fast-Charge Technology and Charging Station
The diNovo Edge is the first keyboard to feature advanced rechargeable Li-ion batteries. Li-ion batteries do not lose power when not in use and are less bulky compared to NiMH batteries.
Included with the keyboard is a stylish stand made from the same high gloss Plexiglas as the keyboard. The stand serves as a charging station and display base, which the keyboard rests vertically, saving work space.
Logitech claims that a 5 minute charge on the charging station provides about one day of power. A two hour charge provides enough for two months of normal use. From the tests we performed, these claims stand true. I have been using the keyboard for over a week straight without charging and the remaining battery power is 64 days.

With a super sleek design and impressive functionality, Logitech’s diNovo Edge keyboard is a must-have keyboard for consumers looking for an advanced wireless device. It is by far the best wireless keyboard we have used to date. If you are looking to upgrade your desktop, Logitech's diNovo Edge is a great way to start.
