The BlackBerry 7250, the first Bluetooth BlackBerry from Sprint PCS, is now available. For all of our visitors who kept asking us when Sprint would release a Bluetooth BlackBerry, your answer is finally here.
The device has 32MB of flash memory and 4MB of RAM. Other features include a 240 x 160 pixel color screen, and a thumb-typing keyboard with a navigation jog wheel on the right. It uses the standard BlackBerry operating system, and comes with a suite of PIM applications, a web browser and email software.
However, the new 7250 won’t offer Bluetooth dial-up networking service, so its users won’t have the option of using it as a wireless modem for other devices, like laptops.
The Bluetooth BlackBerry 7250 has a swappable battery that reportedly supplies 3.3 hours of talk time or 8 days of standby time. It is about 4.5 inches in height, 2.9 inches wide and 0.9 inches thick, weighing about 4.9 oz. The Bluetooth BlackBerry for Sprint PCS users is now being sold for around $490.
