Imagine having the full capability of wireless data and file transfer within a phone that houses a 3MP camera! Gone are the days of 1MP cameras with minimal focus ability. Introducing, the Samsung SGH-E590—Samsung’s newest cell phone which fully supports multimedia files and can playback music and videos easily. With Bluetooth A2DP support, users also have access to FM radio through wireless stereo Bluetooth.
The SGH-E590 supports Bluetooth OBEX (Object Exchange Transfer Protocol) as well as its sub-profile Bluetooth OPP (Object Push Profile). OBEX is a C++ code example which provides a method for transferring objects or chunks of data from one device to another via Bluetooth. OPP enables for a file push from one Bluetooth device to another to allow for the transfer of contact info or a calendar event from one phone to another phone, sending a photo from a phone to a PC, or sending a document file from a phone to a handheld. This capability allows constant access and functionality with all of your wireless phone’s data and files.
The 3MP camera comes equipped with autofocus, a 1.709 inch 262k color TFT display with a 220 x 220 pixel resolution. There is also a MicroSD card slot for extra file storage.
The newest addition to the “candy bar” phones, the SGH-E590 takes the lead with Bluetooth file transfer capability and the bonus factor of a 3MP camera.
