Details of Motorola's iTunes Phone

The FCC has apparently approved Motorola's highly anticipated iTunes cell phone for use in the U.S. Details were recently released about the Motorola ROKR phone for GSM cellular networks. The phone’s user manual and other documentation were posted on the FCC's site.

Motorola ROKR The user manual highlights some of the features, which include:

* Bluetooth Technology
* VGA-quality camera
* Stereo speakers on both sides of the phone
* Mini-SD flash storage format support

The phones most exciting feature is of course its support for iTunes, which is listed in the user manual’s "Main Attractions" section. The phone will be integrated with a mobile version of Apple's iTunes software. Users will have the ability to transfer music, downloaded from iTunes, from their desktop computers or laptops and then play the music on their phone.

This feature is truly an awesome concept: being able to essentially download music directly from your desktop to your phone. However, it is this one feature that is still surrounded by questions and doubts. No one is exactly sure how well this new, innovative program will work. We will just have to wait and see.
