The market for Bluetooth stereo products is growing tremendously and Parrot has joined in on the action. At CeBIT 2006, Parrot unveiled a Bluetooth Sound System.
With the Bluetooth Sound System, you will be able to wirelessly stream audio from any Bluetooth enabled device directly to the pair of Bluetooth speakers. The Bluetooth Sound System is primarily designed for Bluetooth enabled music phones. As of now, the only way to listen to music on your cell phone is through headphones or directly from the phone's speaker. I think it is safe to say that most people would prefer to listen to their music through powerful speakers.
The Parrot Bluetooth Sound System features two 60 watt Bluetooth speakers. Also included with the Bluetooth Sound System are standard RCA inputs so you can use the speakers in the old fashioned wired way. This system is perfect for any room that you listen to music in. The Parrot Sound System features Bluetooth EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) for up to 3Mbps of throughput and supports the Bluetooth A2DP and AVRCP profiles.
Expect the Parrot Bluetooth Sound System to be available in Q3 of 2006 for around $425.
