Now that the much anticipated International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2006 has come to an end, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group has announced the winners of its Best of CES contest. Many manufacturers were asked to submit Bluetooth products in the seven categories of mobile phone, headset, automotive hands-free, stereo audio, printing and imaging, PC environment, and unique application. All submitted products were judged by the Bluetooth SIG based on ease of use, look and feel, implementation, originality, and some other criterion.
And the winners are:

- Headset - Jabra BT500
- Automotive Hands-free - Parrot 3400 LS-GPS
- Stereo Audio - Bluetake Technology i-PHONO mini Bluetooth Stereo Headphone
- Printing and Imaging - HP PhotoSmart 385
- PC Environment - Logitech diNovo Media Desktop Laser
- Unique Application - Motorola Audex Protective Gear: Helmet and Padded Hat

Bluetooth technology has really grown in popularity since its start. Shipments of Bluetooth products have doubled from May to November 2005 at a rate of over 9.5 million a week.
