Have you ever wished you could pack up your desktop computer and work somewhere else? Unfortunately, this isn‘t very practical due to the size, weight and numerous components of most desktops. Dell is attempting to redefine the desktop with the introduction of a Mobile Concept PC, the XPS M2010, which can make this feat possible.
Weighing 18 pounds, the XPS M2010 folds into a stylish briefcase design with an integrated handle, allowing you to transport it wherever you go. 18 lbs. maybe a little heavy for all you techies, so you’re probably not going to want to carry the XPS M2010 long distances.
The Dell XPS M2010 is quite an impressive looking piece of machinery when it is open. It boasts a 20.1" widescreen SXGA+ display with TrueLife technology and a 7.1 Digital Sound System, which includes 8 built-in speakers and a subwoofer. For a portable computer, this machine’s audio capabilities pack a big punch. So, if you're looking for a mobile entertainment machine, the XPS M2010 may be the computer for you. It looks and sounds like a great device for watching movies, listening to music or playing video games.
Ok, so the XPS M2010 sounds like a really cool computer, but what about Bluetooth functionality?
The XPS M2010 comes with a detachable Bluetooth keyboard and Bluetooth wireless mouse. If you really want to, you can be up to 30 ft. away from the monitor and control the computer via the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, or the included remote control. With a 20.1 inch monitor, you should have no problem seeing the screen.
The XPS M2010 is customizable starting at $4000 at Dell.com. If the price tag drops considerably, we might actually consider buying one.
