What is Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is short for wireless fidelity. Devices with this name have been certified by the Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance to conform to the industry standard IEEE 802.11b. Wi-Fi connections can be made about 300 feet away from a "hot spot", another term for Wi-Fi networking node. If your computer or any device has a Wi-Fi networking card, you will be able to surf the Internet wirelessly.
Difference between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both wireless network standards that provide connections by radio waves. The main difference between these two technologies is that Bluetooth is used to replace cables and wires while Wi-Fi is used to provide wireless, high-speed access to the Internet.
